Spaceport Nova Scotia

Canada’s dual-use orbital launch complex. Built for the next generation of commercial, government, and defence missions.

Located near Canso, Nova Scotia, Spaceport Nova Scotia is a licensed, multi-user launch facility offering secure over-ocean launch trajectories and one of the widest ranges of orbital inclinations in North America, with access from 45° to 98°.

Licensed for launch vehicles capable of delivering up to 5,000 kg to low-Earth orbit, the spaceport is designed to support scalable orbital and suborbital launch operations for commercial providers, constellation operators, and allied missions.

The Airport Model

Maritime Launch operates the licensed spaceport and shared infrastructure. Launch providers operate from dedicated launch pads tailored to their vehicles and mission requirements. The model is straightforward: we handle the facility, they focus on the mission.

Our airport-style operating model is designed to reduce infrastructure barriers, improve launch flexibility, and support long-term customer growth.

Construction is underway on scalable, multi-pad launch infrastructure supported by mission services and a world-class operations team.

Built for a Growing Market

Global launch demand continues to accelerate as satellite constellations, communications systems, Earth observation platforms, defence technologies, and data-enabled applications expand worldwide.

The world needs more places to launch, and there are very few places on Earth that qualify. Spaceport Nova Scotia is well positioned to help solve that problem.
