In Good Hands

The safety and protection of our people, community, and environment is paramount to everything we do.

We’re designing, building, and operating our best-in-class facility with a minimal impact footprint, low emissions, and high transparency, aiming high to prepare for a carbon-neutral future.

Commitment to Safety

We are committed to the highest standards for our team and surrounding communities. Our first hire was our Director of Safety, a key position that will support the design, construction and operations of Spaceport Nova Scotia. From construction to transporting our first satellite into space, safety is woven into everything we do.

Environmental Protection

We are committed to being proactively sustainable, with a minimal footprint. In June 2019, the Minister of Environment approved Spaceport Nova Scotia in accordance with Section 40 of the Nova Scotia Environment Act, pursuant to a number of conditions. We are working closely with the provincial government to satisfy those conditions and protect our shared landscape.

Regulatory Compliance

We will comply with municipal, provincial, federal, and international regulations, including Nova Scotia's Environment Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Occupational Safety General Regulations; Canada’s Aeronautics Act and Explosive Regulations; and the United Nations’ Outer Space Treaty, Space Liability Convention and Registration Convention.
