Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Maritime Launch Services is a publicly listed commercial space company building Spaceport Nova Scotia near the communities of Canso, Hazel Hill, and Little Dover in the Municipality of Guysborough, Nova Scotia, with our head office based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our mission is to deliver satellite launch services that strengthen Canada's position in the global space economy and enable sovereign access to space.

We are now entering an exciting phase of growth, moving from planning to sustained delivery: scaling the organization, strengthening partnerships, and preparing for ongoing launch operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Directors, you will lead all aspects of finance, including financial strategy, capital markets, investor relations, financial reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis, and risk management.

This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on financial leader who thrives in high-growth, complex environments and brings experience operating within public markets. Experience supporting an IPO or working in a publicly listed company environment is highly desirable.

  • Experience scaling finance functions in high-growth or emerging companies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar cloud-based platforms
  • Experience working with government stakeholders, funding programs, or public-private partnerships
