Bring your community perspective to the conversation around Spaceport Nova Scotia. 

Maritime Launch is looking for new Community Liaison Committee members 

As Spaceport Nova Scotia continues to take shape, Maritime Launch is looking for new members to join its Community Liaison Committee (CLC). We are seeking people who want to help foster open, ongoing dialogue about Spaceport Nova Scotia and its activities. 

The CLC provides an important connection between Spaceport Nova Scotia and the communities around it; creating a place to ask questions, share local knowledge, raise concerns, and provide meaningful community input. Members also share what they learn through the CLC with others and help ensure community voices and perspectives are represented in discussions with Maritime Launch. 
 

WE'RE LOOKING FOR LOCAL VOICES 

We are interested in hearing from people with a range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, including: 

• Residents and property owners in the surrounding communities 
• Local business owners and operators 
• Fishers and members of the local fishing community 
• Environmental and community organizations 
• Members and representatives of local community groups 
• Municipal representatives 
• Education and healthcare sectors 
• Individuals with knowledge of the local environment, land or coastal communities 
• Other community members with an interest in the future of Spaceport Nova Scotia 

You don't need to be an expert in space or aerospace to participate. 

What matters most is your connection to the community, your perspective, and your willingness to participate in open and constructive dialogue. CLC members should also be willing to listen to others, represent a range of community voices, and share relevant information and learnings with their communities. 

WHAT DOES THE CLC DO? 

LISTEN:  Bring forward questions, concerns, and perspectives from the community. 

ADVISE:  Provide community input to Maritime Launch on Spaceport Nova Scotia activities and potential local impacts. 

CONNECT:  Help create an ongoing two-way exchange of information between Maritime Launch and the community. 

ENGAGE:  Stay informed about developments at Spaceport Nova Scotia and share relevant information and learnings with others in the community. 

BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION 

The CLC is intended to include a balanced range of community voices and perspectives and to support transparent communication and meaningful community engagement. 

Meetings will be held periodically throughout the year, with members receiving updates and opportunities to discuss current and planned activities, share community perspectives, and bring relevant information back to their communities.
